Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to travel from Santiago airport to Puerto Plata? What would a taxi charge and how do I make a reservation?

I have never landed in Santiago Airport, but a taxi from Santiago (de los Caballeros) to Puerto Plata should cost around 1500-2000 pesos (fixed price). Remember to bargain and be sure to settle a fixed price before entering the taxi!
The cheapest transportation are the EXPRESSO buses. I don't know if there are busstops at the airport, but there is a bus station just opposite Hotel La Rotonda, Ave. 27 De Febrero #32, Santiago.
