Saint Lucia Sandals Resorts, St Lucia
Posted: Tue December 9, 2008 09:02 PM UTC
Hi, I have been lucky enough to win a holiday to a Sandals resort of my choice. The holiday has to be taken before Nov 30th 2008. We have never been to the Caribbean before (other than Hubby being stationed in Belize 20 years ago) and we really haven't a clue which to choose. Having searched the internet, we think we'd like to go to one of the St Lucia resorts. I'd be very grateful for any feedback on St Lucia and in particular, Sandals resorts (either the St Lucia ones or any of the others). Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Just dont go there!!...unless you want to stay the whole time on the Sandals resort.
Ive stayed next to Sandals on the bay and found being outside the hotel very threatening, constant hassle and full of crackheads.
I stayed at Sandals in Antigua in March this year and it was wonderful and felt totally at ease moving around the island..the most amount of hassle I got was being asked if i wanted a Taxi, followed by a polite "ok sir!".
If it was me I would take the Sandals Antigua offer.
Cheers
Steve

Idon't know which Sandals Steve was talking about, but we were married at the St Lusian Grande last February. The resort is beautiful and there is no one at all hassling you. I also have friends that stayed at the other Sandals on the island and they enjoyed them also. I prefered the Grande because it is in a cove so the water is calm. The Regency is large and the water is very rough, but there is more going on there and more restaurants. The Halcyon is the smallest of the three and also the oldest, but it has just gone through a renovation. The Grande I feel is the most layed back
