Chiang Mai Hotel Suggestions?
Posted: Sat December 6, 2008 01:34 PM UTC
I will be in Chiang Mai in early February, and would appreciate getting some recommendations for a nice, well-located hotel. The suggestions I have already been given are the Four Seasons, The Sheraton, the Ratchamankha, the Imperial Mae Ping, the Dusit, the Puri Punn, the de Naga, the Mandarin Oriental, and the Oriental Siam. If anyone has stayed at any of these places anad can give me some feed-back to help me make a decision, I would be most appreciative.

Thanks.

Have stayed at the Mae Ping, lots of group tours stay there, was not impressed, breakfast which was included was poor in my opinion. You might look at the Empress, older hotel but very nice.

I like Ramming Lodge. Strange name, but good location. Good value. Near bars (good / bad thing?) and a stroll to night market.

The Chiang Mai Plaza hotel was great value and is really nicely situated, within walking distance of major sights. Hotels on the river are nice, but you then need to take a tuk tuk to many places. Check out this hotels website..I would rate it a very good 3 star hotel

Imperial Mae Ping is excellend friendly service, this was one of the best experience. the only commands was the party music in the garden too loud, there was a group, but the hotel has too noticed that there are other guests too in the hotel. thank you for your total good service.

Hope you like it!!
