Jerusalem Taxi to King Hussien Bridge on Shabbat
Posted: Fri December 5, 2008 10:32 PM UTC
I'm looking to take a taxi on Saturday March 7th in the morning to King Hussien Bridge in a effort to get to Amman. Does anyone know if the taxi's run on Shabbat and if so how early and how much would it cost for a ride to the King Hussien Bridge? Thanks

Taxis run every day, including the weekend. In any case, you will probably take an Arab taxi, from the Damascus gate of the old city. So, for them Shabbat is a regular day. BTW, the Israeli name of the bridge is Allenby bridge, King Hussein the Jordanian name.

One last question...does anyone know what the cost would be...I don't want to get taken for a "ride" if you know what I mean.
