Antigua Guatemala Playground/park in Antigua
Posted: Fri December 5, 2008 07:57 PM UTC
Hey y'all,

we're planning to get to Guatemala for a few weeks, and I'm beyond excited about it! As I'm looking for somewhere to stay for the month, I wonder if anybody knows whether there's a public park or playground in Antigua? We'll have two little kid in tow, and I think if I could have us stay within walking distance of a park, they'd have a grand time. At the same time, perhaps the neighborhood playground is more UnitedStatesian? Any ideas?

thanks!

Hello there, I'd say that if you have very active kids, this has go to be the place to stay http://www.earthlodgeguatemala.com/ because of their grounds for kids to play. On the other hand I've seen kids all the time roller skating or riding their bikis at the main square. Good luck.

Earth Lodge is out of town and food would get expensive if you can't cook. One advanatage is that when you get bored ith it, you can just move on.

You might try e-mailing the people at www.qmecrealestate.com and see if someone there can help.

Hi,
we are coming from australia and are planning to spend 3 months in guatemala. We are also traveling with a 2 year old and 4 year old and at this moment are extremely nervous reading all the trip advisory warnings on attacks and robberies in the country. How was/is travelling in Guatemala with your children. Did you feel safe? please let us know.

Any luck finding a playground in Antigua? We are here for a month and would love to find a place to get out some daily energy for our 5 and 3 yr old boys.

Thanks!
