New Years in Santiago

Is anyone around in Santiago this New Years? I arrive on 31 December at 15h45 and am looking for something to do, somewhere to go! Any suggestions or recommendations?!! :)

There are 4-5 fireworks displays in Santiago at midnight. One down by the Entel tower on the Alameda. Nuñoa sets them off at 1 am so people can be with family first. A lot of restaurants and bars have special parties but there are still a lot which just do the normal routine. Barrio Brasil, Bellavista and Nuñoa are three areas with plenty of bars and restaurants. See if you can link up with others staying where you are staying to go out and about.
