Mexico City Mexico City Marriott Hotels

I will be traveling to Mexico City on business sometime in January. I prefer to stay at Marriott hotels (rewards program). Initially, I was planning on staying at the JW but with the recent downtun, the company may frown on the $400 per night rate. As an alternative, I was thinking of the Marriott Reforma. Can anyone give me the pro's/con's of each hotel? Really looking for a description of the area and safety issues.

I have stay on business many times and visit relatives of my cousin there. The area is still within the business circle, close to zona rosa on reforma but close to chapultepec ave; teh JW is a more residential area but close to the bosque de chapultepec, as Mexico goes nowdays , anybody needs to be careful all the time, however, in over 10 yrs traveling there, and enjoying what the city has to offer i have yet found any inconveniences done to me. I say dont worry about safety, just use common sense.

the reforma hotel in new, in fact they are about to open it or recently opened
it's in the zona rosa neighborhood in front of the mexican stock exchange in the middle point to centro historico and chapultepec park and the museum of antropology.
The other in polanco walking distance to the museum, the zoo and the mazarik ave. where the most expensive shops are.
