How long would it take to drive from Hat Yai to Hua Hin?

I've travelled by bus from Hat Yai to Bangkok and that takes 14hrs.

I would knock off 3 hours but you might do it in 10hrs.

You can also take a train to Hua Hin from Hat Yai. Just last week I was on a train out of Bangkok heading for Hat Yai (and on to Singapore via Malaysia.) There was a stop for Hua Hin and several tourist types - back packers got off there.

If you locate the King Hotel in Hat Yai, which is not far from the train station, across the street is a travel agency that provides rides to many places. You can check with them about transportation by van or bus if you want.
