Hurghada Travel Forum

We will be in Hurghada for two weeks. My wife doesn't dive but will snorkel. I will be diving at least 5 days 10 dives. What dive shops? How big of groups do some take? I hate being with 20-30 people and prefer a good small group 3-10 people max.

Any other suggestions of what we should do and see while we are there? Also going home we have a 10 hour layover in Cairo from 2 AM until Noon. Is there time to go see the Pyramids of Giza? And at 2 AM is there a safe way to travel there and what time do they open? Costs? Return time? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Anything other recommendations of sights to see and how to get there or should we just try to sleep? (boring)

Hi,
the price for a flight (roundtrip)from Hurghada to Cairo would be € 137 for each of you. The flight will last one hour. So you could go back on the same day. If you want to stay in Cairo for one night, we could look for an accomodation for you.
The Pyramid area opens at 8.00 AM, the admission price is EGP 50,00, if you want to go into the Cheopspyramide it will cost EGP 100,00.

We are now going from Cairo straight to Hurghada. Plan to stay 8-9 days diving and one day to Valley of the Kings. Need info on a guide and ride to Valley of Kings. We have a place in -near Hurghada already. Just need ride and tour guide for Vally of Kings.

We will then fly back to Cairo and have 3 days at hotel in downtown area 5 miles from airport 12 miles from great pyramids, sphinx. Would like to have ride from airport to hotel and ride and guide to Pyramids, museums etc. Again prefer just the 2 of us in private vehicle not a bus tour. And then a ride back to airport from hotel. Hotel is already booked. Please advise guide and rides and recommendation of othe sites and prices.
