Market Street is a almost 2 miles long and runs southwest to Northeast, GGB is in the Northwest area of SF. How you get to GGB depends on where on Market you are starting from. Also you are walking or taking public transport and if you are walking whether or not you want to avoid hills. This link is a trip planer for SF.

Go to 3rd and Market Streets. Take the #30 Stockton bus going north to Chestnut and Laguna Streets. Get off and take the #28 19th Ave bus which will take you right to the bridge. Try this website http://www.511.org for detailed instructions.
