We're not booking a package, so we need to know the best and least expensive way to get from the airport down to Cabo at Terasol condos. I've heard that a regular taxi is too expensive, are there any reliable shuttles that I should know about and reserve in advance?

There's a nearly constant battle here (as in other Mexican towns, I believe) between the taxi drivers who have a very strong union and the hotel shuttles. Often it results in passengers who have paid for hotel shuttles having to pay again for a taxi, as the taxis block the way.
I was just in San Jose' last week to book a hotel for my friends coming in over Christmas, and was advised that the taxi was the least expensive or you can book a private shuttle.
So, I think getting to the main road to the bus is the only option as mentioned, but it can be a long, hot hoof.

In our town, which is NORTH of the airport, we have a private website which those who need rides post requests and others coming and going at same times offer rides, usually for assistance with gas money.
