Honolulu Safe to walk the streets at night?
Posted: Thu November 20, 2008 07:15 AM UTC
Hi again,
First trip above Indo from Aus so must ask....are the streets safe at night in Honolulu.
We will be staying at the Moana Surfrider Hotel.
High rate for muggings, bashings, car theft etc or what???
Guessing a lot safer then Jakarta

Streets are very safe at night where you'll be staying. Moana Surfrider is in Waikiki and you'll see tourists, locals and families all walking the streets everynight til fairly late. If you're out at bars/clubs and walk back very late/early morning you'll still be safe just exercise good judgement and common sense. Waikiki/Honolulu and all of Oahu is great, you'll have loads of fun!

IT IS A LOT SAFER THAN JAKARTA !! : )
IT DOES HAVE IT'S PROBLEMS OF SOME OF THE LOCALS GIVING TOURISTS A ROUGH TIME..ESPECIALLY AT THE CLUBS EARLY IN THE MORNING..BUT LIKE ANYWHERE..JUST STAY AWAY FROM THE TROUBLE AREAS
