Bogotá Ins and outs of the nightlife
Posted: Tue November 18, 2008 02:37 PM UTC
Can someone please shed some light into all the happenings of the city nightlife.

I will be in the city on the latter part of Dec and for a stay of 21 days touring the country which also includes Panama City via Medellin. but the first week of my duration is in Bogotá and surrounding small towns or city ( day trips mainly). I was wondering if someone can fill me in on all the happenings of the city especially the nights as I enjoy a good dance and few beers in all my holiday. Places to go, local restaurent, nightclubs etc.....

Mucho Gracias ( already practicing my spanglish)

Head to the Zona Rosa, and while there go to just-opened Andres DC. The old Andres Carne de Res out in Chia is world-famous, and deservedly so. It's an amazing experience (how many restaurants do you know that has a permanent troupe of actors on staff?) The new Zona Rosa restaurant is also cool, but has a different vibe. The Chia restaurant is all funkiness, with weathered wooden tables. The Zona Rosa Andres is more upscale.
So, it's up to you. I would suggest perhaps the Zona Rosa Andres because it's surrounded by other night spots.
