Freespirit Foundation

For those of you who knew Kinga, and those of you who wished you had, the Freespirit Foundation had obtained land in Ghana on which to build a library in its first steps in its mission to fight child slavery. If you are interested in getting involved, perhaps by translating Foundation publications into other languages, or even going to Ghana on a work trip to help build the library, please visit the following site for more information.

Raytor, thank-you for this link.

Hundwalder, agreed.

I am too new here to have ever had contact with kinga, but her story, and her entire 'Led by Destiny' travel philosophy has enduring resonance. I am glad her VT pages are still accessible, they remain as relevant today as when they were first posted.

Kinga's mom just emailed me the following:

Fun-loving volunteers in Ghana
Anyone who likes to work in a team ! We are looking for fun-loving volunteers from all over the world to take part in a wonderful experience in a special place by the ocean - a fishing village of Moree, Ghana. We intend to build the Centre of Culture and Education including a volunteer village. Let’s build a volunteer village first! It would make the ideal accommodation for volunteers and for everyone who will participate in voluntary project. We want to use an interesting technology of construction - earth bag building , so all the skills of volunteers will be welcome. Bring your energy !
The work-camp wiil be run from mid-January till the end of February 2009 . This is a great way to experience Ghanian’s culture, customs, natural beauty.. If you’re interested in this fantastic opportunity, please contact
