Honolulu US Citizen clearing customs in Honolulu

Thanks to all who can help. I am a US citizen and will be returning to Los Angeles from Sydney via Honolulu. I will be landing in Honolulu, and changing airlines to continue on to LA. Does anyone have recent experience concerning the amount of time to clear customs at the Honolulu Airport? I will have no checked luggage, just a large carry-on bag. Thanks again! (My flight is in February)

I don't have experience clearing customs in Honolulu but I'm sure it will be a breeze. Especially since you will only have a carry-on so obviously less for customs to inspect. Might have to answer a couple extra questions if your stay down under was for an extended period of time but thats about it.
I wouldn't worry too much about it and welcome back to LA!

CLEARING CUSTOMS AT HNL HAS BEEN OK ..USUALLY FROM 4 TO 8 MINUTES ..A FEW TIMES LESS ..BUT ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR SOMETHING AT ANY AIRPORT.
