Abu Dhabi Female Traveling

I have an Indonesian male friend who is visiting Abu Dhabi and he is residing with his father who is an expatriate with Abu Dhabi residency. I would like to visit my friend, and my question is, would it be possible for me to stay at their place, seeing that I am not their relative? Also, to apply for my visa who should I ask to write my Sponsor letter and what information must be added to the letter? Thanks!

You don't say what your nationality is and your profile provides no clue: you might be eligible for visa exemption if you are an EU, US, Canadian, etc. citizen! Friends can apply for a 30-day visit visa for you, see http://www.uaeinteract.com/travel/visas.asp#visa. In your case, this would have to be your friend's father since your Indonesian friend is not himself a resident of Abu Dhabi. If a friend is sponsoring you, of course you can stay with them. If you were staying at a hotel, however, the hotel can organise a tourist visa for you.
For the rest, I would suggest you contact the nearest UAE Embassy.

You are going to visit your friend who himself is visiting his father. To know if that is possible you should ask where your friend's father is staying. If it is a big apartment in a building then probably you can stay there, but a small place then it could be a headache.
For visa, visit a travel agency in your area and they advise you of the best choice.
Good luck.

So far what I know is that my friend’s father lives in an apartment. At the moment I have someone dealing with my tourist visa for me, and I was told to get a sponsor letter from my friend’s father, who is the UAE resident and whose apartment I will be staying in during my visit. However, he is afraid that my staying there will get them in trouble because I am not related to them…also he wants to see it in writing that it is okay (if it really is okay, that is) by law for me to visit there. Do you by any chance know any websites which states something like that? Also is there anywhere I can find an example of a sponsor letter?
I appreciate all the replies so far btw, thanks a lot!
