Dear all,

I'll be to Bratislava on 17 Nov 2008.

Can someone suggest me to plan a day (17 Nov ) so that at least i can cover all the major touristic locations...

What is the best possible way of transport form Bratislava to Kosice!

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards!

Everything worthy to see is quite compact - city centre between the Danube and President's residence, Castle to the north from the centre (it can be easily seen from almost anywhere) and area around it.
In case of Kosice - if you need fast - check Skyeurope flights (if booked in advance they can be even cheaper than the train ticket). If you are ready to spend half of the day or night - use the train (zssk.sk). The route is quite scenic and it is much more comfortable than bus.

We did a morning trip from Vienna to Bratislava and back all in about 4 hours. I would have loved to have had more time but this is what I would recommend from my brief visit.

1-2 hours at the Castle. Take in the view looking back over Austria and also over the city/river into Hungary.

1 hour in the Primate Palace it was pretty interesting especially the massive wall hanging tapestries.

Allow several hours in the main part of the old city to really walk around and get a feel for it. There are obviously heaps more things to do that I am unaware of but these three were ones I enjoyed.

Great city with a lovely feel. I hope to return one day.
