Essen to Amsterdam is different though if Sabsi is driving.
I've heard the trip is only about 93 minutes with her at the wheel. :o)

Hi again, Diana(& José)!
Must be around 220km, and 2-2,5 hrs depending on traffic (and time of day you travel!) greetings, W.

www.map24.de
gives the shortest route, directions, KM, and approx. time. If you take a train, check the site www.bahn.de and it will give you the journey time

It is 208 according to Opel route planner.
http://www.europe.opel.com/vicinity/waydrive As Sunday, at list in Germany I think it is trucks free on the autobahn, maybe you should be able to make it in 2.5 hours. Just be sure to write down the autobahns numbers and especially the exit number to Essen as there are few and it will be easy to miss the one that you need.
