Province d' Ouarzazate Travel Forum

I would like to go to ouarzazate in January by a rent car but I heard it is quite dangerous because of snow and a lot of trucks on the (narrow?) road.
Has anybody gone in January to this mountains?

I have done this rout on my own for several occasiones/times; i landed few times in Ouarzazate which is a good option to get over the panic; anyway driving throwght the atlas is not that big deal; hiring a car is the most recommended here on VT.
heading to the south is just superb as there are lot of spots that worthwhile; to make staff clear have a look at VT members pages as there are lot of tips that might help you...
the last time on the main road i noticed some diference this road become more comfortable and in good conditions; keep your eyes on the road and put attention while driving throwght Tichka pass.

I was there one year in January. The road was even closed one day because of snow, but the next day everything was fine. I do not recall any problems with trucks on the road. Many roads in Morocco are narrow.
