Lazise travel to Verona

Is Verona easily accessed by bus? If I wanted to hire a car to go to and from the opera would it be really expensive? How far is Verona? Train?

Lazise to Verona is little more than 20 kms, easy by bus (see my tip with working links here http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/4c02d/228a3/9/).

The opera is another story. Regular buses won't be running at the end of the opera.
There are companies offering the service from the lake (like this, but wait they update to next season http://www.montebaldo.com/arena.cfm ) ticket + bus.

No trains in Lazise. And i don't know if there are care rental there (maybe)... Google for it.

Ciao
Francesco

How far is verona from where? From the train station it is an easy ride by taxi or bus to piazza bra, where the arena is located - all in all the city is an easy walk to all major points - so from your hotel if it is in verona, will be walkable to Verona di Arena - we went to Tosca in June, and it is a great atmosphere.
