80% of Pantanal is on brazilian jurisdiction. The remaining 20% are bolivian or paraguayan. The smaller part is paraguayan and is named by Chaco.
The brazilian Pantanal spots are in Corumbá, Miranda (fishing), Bonito, Coxim
(sport in rapids), Cuiabá... The rain season is October to February.
Parque Nacional do Pantanal is a nice sightseeing in Brazil. You may contact the brazilian authorities by Fax--> (65) 648-9150, or e-mail--> parnapantanal@hotmail.com or parnapantanal.MT@ibama
* Brazil is reforming Pantanal railway. Trains for tourists will be ready for
moving on May, 2009. I am attaching some links concerned in brazilian

Nowadays the crossing border Brazil/Bolivia is in Corumbá, and Brazil/Paraguay
crossing border is in Porto Murtinho.
