Newcastle upon Tyne New year in Geordieland
Posted: Mon October 27, 2008 02:37 PM UTC
Hello

Coming over from the Wirral for New Years Eve. (2 couples age 27-30)
Whats the score in Newcastle is it just pubs and clubs or do you have anything going on down the quayside?
If its the pubs and clubs thing would we need to book tickets or anything?

Were stopping New years day aswell so a nice restaurant recomendation would be good too.

Also anything worth visiting when were there... I've only ever been to Newcastle once before we only seen the inside of St James and a cracking chinese restaurant in the quayside.

Thanks

Ross

The pubs will be open as usual, you can take your pick from the Gate, the Bigg Market or the Quayside. All these areas are alive with bars, clubs and restaurants with a huge choice. The clubs will probably be ticket only, i know TigerTiger are having a James Bond Theme night, check out these web sites

Not sure about restaurants for New Years Day but the restaurants on Stowell street, which is "China Town", will definitely open
