Rockport Places to visit and stay in Rockport

Hi, I will be going to Boston and Rockport over Thanksgiving weekend at the end of Nov. Will be going to Rockport from Boston and staying at Rockport for 2 nights. Can you recommend a nice place to stay at (eg B&B or motels or lodges)? And what are the places in Rockport that I should visit? Other than Rockport, are there any other places near to Boston which I could visit?

Thanks!

Will you have a car? That will have a major impact on recommended places to stay and visit.

The most interesting part of Rockport is called Bearskin Neck, which is a former fishing village turned artist colony. It is right adjacent to the center. With a car, you can drive from there to several other points on Cape Ann, including Gloucester and many beautiful beaches. It is also close to Salem and not so far from Newburyport, another interesting port town,
