I'm planning a research trip to Ankara next summer/fall. Can someone give me some tips on the best place or even the best kind of place to stay for that long? I need to be in Cankaya. I'm looking for cheap, but safe and furnished. Are there apartments available for this length of stay, a month-by-month kind of thing?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

There are furnished apartments of course. People usually uses them for winter. So you may find more places at summer. I advice to wait. Remind 1 month before you come. Than we can start to look for you.
Cankaya is good but more expensive part of Ankara. Kizilay can be cheaper and may be more colorfull for you.
