Is this place generally regarded as one of the best places to get Dim Sum in SF: http://www.yanksing.com

Just curious,

Yes. Hands down. And it's convenient if you're staying downtown. It's a little pricey, but worth it. Also good is Ton Kiang on Geary out in the Richmond district.

That looks good Robert. Don't spoil yourself as Chong Quing may be slumming it now.

The Pea shoot dumplings look great

Kidz, I heard Dennis Miller raving about this place today and wanted to hear what others thought.

Back in Dec. 2004 I remember going to a fabulous Dim Sum place in SF with a great looking VT gal, whose name I can't remember. I wonder if it was the same?

Dave: I went to our local place the day after I got back. Can't say it was very appealing. Off day or should I look elsewhere?

I've been looking. The Pink Pearl isn't what it used to be either. Have you been to The Flamingo lately?

If any of you are local, try Fook Yuen on El Camino in Millbrae. Not as good as Yuet Lee, but about 1/3 of the price. I think it's the best dumpling for the dollar. Also there's a place on Jackson - I've never seen a name, but it's on the north side of the street between Jackson and Stockton. Takeout only, and it's always packed, but it's really good and really cheap.

Linda,

Did you just say "Fook Yuen" to me?

I don't think I really deserved it!
