Hello!
Can somebody tell me how much should an air ticket from Fortaleza to Rio approximately cost. Will it be hard to get a seat on a plane near the new year (28.12.)? Do the prices for the plane tickets get up near the high season? I found some prices on the varigo web page, but it seem's to much for me-- about 850 Reals(280$).

Olà! Bom dia! Air tickets in Brazil are expensive, and especially during summer period, New Year and Carnival. So I think 800 R$ might be the price of a Fortaleza-Rio air ticket. Varig is expensive, GOL usually is cheaper. Check www.voegol.com.br. You should make reservations in advance as well.

Plane tickets are really expensive in Brazil, sometimes it's cheaper to go outside the country.

All prices below are one-way tickets:

Flying with Vasp (www.vasp.com.br), the lowest fare is R$ 729 (Fortaleza to Rio "Santos Dumont Airport" via São Paulo) or R$ 693 (Fortaleza to Rio "Galeão Airport" via Recife) if you do not mind departing at 4 AM.

Flying with Gol (www.voegol.com.br), the fare is R$ 694 (Fortaleza to Rio "Santos Dumont Airport" via Brasília.
