New York City Travel Forum

I'll be visiting in February 2009 and am wondering whether there is any news as to when various renovations will be finished. Three that spring to mind are:
Riverside Church - covered in scaffolding last May.
New York Public Library - wrapped up in protective sheeting.
Atlas (opposite St Pats) - completely boxed in!
Any news would be much appreciated.
Also, I notice that the Queensborough Bridge will be celebrating it's centenary in 2009 - are there any celebrations planned?

Just got back from an NYC trip last week...
The Atlas is 100% back in shape (if you mean the one in front of Rockefeller), the Public Library is all cleared too. But now the whole Wallstreet St is under a major construction (pumbling system I guess) and also some parts of lower Broadway. Hope this helps. Happy Travels!

Thanks, WaRPer! That's great news - I know the work has to be done but it's really frustrating when you go somewhere for a photo opportunity only to find it wrapped up in tarps!
