Isla de Tenerife Taxi transfer with child seat
Posted: Thu October 16, 2008 10:22 AM UTC
Hi all,

Am arriving in Tenerife South in November with a 1yr old, and am looking to book an airport transfer to Costa Adeje but we will require a car seat.

Have tried A2B Transfers who say that they have infant seats but cannot guarantee us getting one(!).

Does anyone know of any firms which CAN guarantee getting a child seat? Don't really fancy carrying the little fella on our laps.

Thanks
swgf

Dear ,
Just back from my annual stay (2 1/2 months)on Tenerife.
You will have a lot of troubles to catch a taxi with child seat (quasi inexistant)
Costa Adeje is only a 20 min drive , so I suppose no problem to take your baby on your laps!!! So I think and hope for your child
Greetings,
Albert

There are not many countries where you will actually find either a transfer company or licensed taxi that carry infant seats are there? So my advice is to take one with you. Yes I know its a problem, but if you dont have one to hand, how can you expect to use any taxi on your holiday, or are you not going anywhere when you get there. There are so many types of child seat, so many weight variations, so many different fittings, its not possible for these companies or taxis to cater for all. Sorry if you take this responsibility seriously, which you obviously so, take you own seat.
