| Distrito Nacional | Is the Dominican Republic Wheelchair friendly? Posted: Mon October 27, 2003 09:25 PM UTC
Dear residents or old Dominican Republic Hands,
Wife and I will be visiting Santo Domingo, Jarabacoa, Puerto Plata/Playa Dorada, Cabarete, Las Terrenas, Las Galeras, and who knows where else the entire month of November. Although my wife is not wheelchair bound, she did have a knee operation and it is easier for her to cover distances (for example, the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo) on her transport chair (a foldable chair about the size of a regular chair, but with wheels). Finally, the question. Would it be worthwhile for us to bring my wife's transport chair or would it be more trouble than it is worth? Thanks so much. Richard K. Oettel |

If you are going to need it.... bring it. as you won't always find what you want...when you want it.
better to have it in this case.
