Easter Island Travel Forum

I (an older single lady) will be on Easter Island for a few days later this year. Where are the best cafes/restaurants to eat? Also any good reports on Hotel Gomero - don't think I want to hear any bad ones! Thanks in advance for your replies

The "best" cafés and restaurants won't be difficult to find, they're all along the two main streets from Hanga Roa, that isn't such a big place ;)
Ifyou want to try a spéciality, order Kana-kana fish with "camote" (sweet potatotoes) and banana-cake.
However, the best restaurant, but also the most expansive, is, of course and as usual, the French restaurant "La Taverne du Pêcheur", next to the Caleta.

Thanks very much Kaiserbase for your reply. Everything I have read makes Easter Island sound fantastic so I'm really looking forward to my stay.

Places i reccomend are:Aloha where we had a several meals and where prices are resonable,also Merahi Raa was very ok and Au bout de Monde near Tahai complex is worth a try.
