Braunschweig to Wolfsburg?

Hi,
I'll be staying in Braunschweig (Hansestrasse 90 a) in December and would like to know the best way to travel to Wolfsburg?
I think taxi might be expensive and was thinking about train.
I won't actually be travelling directly to the town but to the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA.
Any advice is appreciated.

There don't seem to be any trains between those two stations.

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en gives the best options for you travel, but if you want to go by train there are regional trains every hour and ICE trains every 2 hours.

From (Station/stop): Braunschweig
To (Station/stop): Wolfsburg

will give you the trains from Braunschweig Hbf (main station) to Wolfsburg Hbf (main station.

in google type db and the 4th website down will say Deutsche Bahn timetable, click on this then select address (from dropdown menu) for departure and destination, type them in and you will end up with times available. It appears that you need a tram followed by a bus. There are more complicated routes but if you look at the actual times that suit you, you will be able to select this under "details for all".
The journey will take 1 1/2 hours so a taxi would cost a fortune.

Just some advice, if you want to get to the Volkswagen Arena you will still have to get off at the main station in Wolfsburg and walk 5 minutes. The train ride between Braunschweig and Wolfsburg is short but your location in Braunschweig is a bit remote.

No need to get the train, the tram and bus I saw on Deutsche Bahn takes him right there.
