I dont think that there is a railway service in Aranda. Nearest mainline is at Burgos in the north. There will be buses. Spain likes buses and they offer good transportation. Try looking at www.alsa.es - they offer a 2 hours service to Madrid.
Lerma just to the north has one of the nicest Parador Hotels I have ever stayed in.

In fact I am interested in taking the direct railway from Burgos to Madrid via Arande. It is shown as pictoreste on the Cook' Railway Map. Some inoficial maps (www.bueker.net) show it as with passenger trafic, but I did not find any train on renfe.es . bahn.de showd one train (San Sebastian - Madrid) passing by Aranda, but i did not confirm it on the schedule of the Aranda station.
