Hola This is JC I live and work in Punta cana for the past 5 years and love it here. For your girlfriends and yourself there is a lot of places to go at night, everything will depends on how far away from Bavaro beach area are you going to as the center is known as Bavaro beach in Punta Cana...here some of the hottest spots you should go to :
Imagine...a 5,000 square mts., Disco cave, with an scenary featuring live merengue and bachata reknown bands, this Disco has a tour which pick you up at the resort you are around 11:30pm and for the price of U$40.- you will have transportation, entrance fees, and 3 national drinks...there are three dance floors, great animation and a lot of locals which makes the nights excellent...then you have Mangu Disco, which is located at the Occidental Flamenco bavaro resort, if you are staying at the Palladiums or the Princess it is just few meters away ( walking distance ) but i always recommend you to take a taxi which has a cost of 5 to 8 U$ dollar for a group from 4-12 persons, the disco is open every night from 11:00pm until 7am....entrance fee is U$8.- (weekdays) and U$12.- satudays which is the best night,5 bars, 3 VIP's areas, two floor building, two dance floors, drinks are from U$5.- on....first floor is more Hip Hop, dance music, bachata, merengue, etc., and second floor is a electronic dance floor with international DJ's and fire shows, and a lot of crazy people and cool atmosphere...the 3rd. place to recommend you will be Palma Real Shopping Village, which is a shopping mall located at the area where are the hotels sol melia, cocotal golf club and near IFA Villas Bavaro resort, there are shuttle buses every two hours from all the resorts to the best shoping mall in town...last one at 6pm. at the mall, hard Rock cafe Punta Cana, with live music tue-sat., Montecristo cafe, open every night from 10pm until 5am...and also you can find there Webster Hall which is not open yet but will be a great place as well. Besides these places try out the corner bar before getting in Mangu Disco, this bar is located in a corner of the streets right at the entrance of Occidental mangu, or Areito Disco at the caribe Tropical Princess hotel, Riu Pacha at the Riu hotels...and during the day relax at Soles Chill Out bar, HUrricane cafe which are bars located right at the beach for locals and tourist with chill out music...
