one more question.. Is the Old Town Trolley tours worth the money? Or should we grab a map and walk around?

If you've never been, and want to learn a little about the history of Key West, the trolley is a fairly cheap way to go about doing it. Aside from that, Key West is not that big of an area (at least not the touristy part) and you can easily walk around. Another neat thing to do is rent bicycles or scooters. That is how the locals get around and there are parking stations for them all over the place.

Enjoy...the Keys are great.

exactly what the previous poster said. Key West is easily walkable- the trolley tours can give you a little more background and info- if you like to read, you could find most of the same info in printed form, but it is nice to ride around and get an idea of directions and areas of interest that you might want to come back to- also allows you to people watch some very interesting folks.

Little off the troley conversation, but down by the "Southern Most Point" there is a butterfly conservatory. For my Brother and wife and I, this was one of the most wondeful things we have ever seen.
