Malta Walking in Malta - staying 1 to 3 months November
Posted: Wed September 17, 2008 02:47 PM UTC
Am considering taking a cheap studio apartment for myself in November.
Initially will be one month and will possibly extend it to 3.

Are there any walking/non competitve cycling clubs and is there enough variation to see?

Any advice on a longer term stay would be appreciated.

I've never personally heard of a walking club....you can just go out and walk anywhere in Malta really. There are also books available you can buy i believe with various pathways you can take in the country.

With regards cycling, I believe the clubs there are are mostly competitive clubs who train to compete in races.

You can check out this website: http://www.letsgocycling.org/subs.asp?id=44

they seem to organise some various activities for all ages.

You can walk to you heart's content in Malta.
I suppose you can do that anywhere.
Lots of pretty walks from 1 to 4 hours long...
Some along cliffs, others in valleys.

Bikes?...no idea.
