Hi
must do is hire a municipal bike, tour le vieux port and cycle out to the beaches and botanic gardens - should still be quite warm - try bouillabaise the special world renowned fish stew - avoid la gare after dark

Second vote for bouillabaise and served with toast and hot sauce rouille (spell??). Lots of outdoor restaurants around the old port. If you have time during the day, consider a visit to the Notre Dame de la Garde - the main cathedral for Marseilles. Its on top of a small but steep hill almost in the centre of the city and has great views from the terrace that runs around the church.
