My sister is going to be in the town of Apt East Avignon on Sept. 20. She is staying at Chez Manon. I would like to have some bottles of french wines and cheese delivered to her. Do you know of any store that I could email and then charge my purchases? I have been online and yet to find what I am looking for.

there are many online stores that deliver wines in france. for example http://www.chapoutier.com/gb/index.cfm. Not that I have used this one, and I don't know if they can deliver in time or if the delivery charge is too much. You may want to find search for a local seller of say chateauneuf du pape and see if they deliver. I did a google search using ( chateauneuf du pape avignon vin livraison ) and it came up with many possibilities. Karl

I recall a wonderful market in Apt - you could give her an envelope stuffed with Euros and the suggestion that she enjoys spending them there.
We ran out of cash before we had bought all we wanted from the stalls of local produce - fruit and veg; wine and cheese; garlic and dried sausages - local specialities; anchovies and olives. In fact the whole range of local produce to choose ftom.

Possibly better to speak or email Pamela Hall-Johnston about this as she can organise it all ?

Apt is big enough a town to have places that deliver directly. They even have a place that replaces broken windscreens when gangsters break into your car at night in smaller villages in Provence like Bonnieux... ;-)
