Tirana Tirana wedding prep

I will soon be attending a wedding in Tirana. Are there any traditions I should be aware of (colors to avoid wearing, gifts to give or avoid giving, etc.)? What do people typically wear to a formal wedding in Albania? Do you have any recommendations for thank you gifts to bring with me? Anything else I should know before going? Thanks!

Do not know much about Albanians, more about Hungarians, Serbs, etc and only in general, but most likely what I write does apply to Albanians.

- Albanians are probably EVEN MORE formal than their neighbors in the north. At least I was told that.
- Avoid any impression that you are a cheap-skater. Wedding is important, being cheap is not proper.
- Having fun is expected, drinking too much even on the wedding is a huge no-no. Not sure, what is your gender, but if you are a female, drinking too much is even a bigger no-no.

Many Albos have the famous gene which mutated ca. 6000 or so years ago in what is today Israel and that genetic mutation spread all over mediterranian. It's a very "useful" mutation: affected people can drink slightly more than, say, Brits without visual effect of being drunk and in addition to that, they do not develop alcohol-addiction that easy as, say, Brits. In other words, be more moderate than your hosts: they are genetically more lucky regarding alcohol.
