I have an opportunity to go to Nelspruit for almost free, yuppers, almost free, this November. Is that an optimal time for wildlife viewing, particularly the Big 5?

I went in November. It was great. Try and avoid the drier areas as there are fewer animals. Orpen gate opens at 4:30am, get up and be there early to see 'em!

Please note: Kruger has Malaria.

Any time is good in Kruger, some better than others but there is NO bad time. It will probably be hot but go and enjoy it.

Hi. I was near Kruger less than a month ago and in three days managed to see to male lions, about a dozen rhino and herds of buffalo and elephant. No leopards though, which I believe is just a matter of luck.

November is absolutely fine. Stay in the central and southern areas where the greates proliferation of animals is at that time of the year.

November is good. You actually want to be there when it's driest because the bush isn't so thick you can't see through it and the animals stick near the watering holes. The rains will start in Oct / Nov, so conditions should be fine. It could be very hot in daytime, but cold early in the morning (especialy when sitting in a open-top vehicle) so bring some warm clothes.
