Hi to all kind people from Newcastle,

My boyfriend and I are planning to visit Newcastle for a couple of days in November to attend a NUFC's match.
I will greatly appreciate if someone gives me an advice where to stay in Newcastle. Since our budget is a quite modest one, we are looking for a cheap hotel or hostel only to have a nap for a couple of hours. Tried to find one via internet but there is no great varity of options. Is it so?
I would also appreciate some local information concerning the best pubs in the city?

'Napping for a couple of hours' is not something which is commonly catered for in the UK, I'm afraid. You'll have to pay the usual daily rate, of course, and as this often includes breakfast it is not particularly cheap.

For hostels, try www.hostelworld.com Hostels will be by far the cheapest option, and there is now at least one in the city centre.
