If I am not mistake, resaturant row would be the area where the theate district is (40-50 on Broadway). Hell's Kitchen is located around the same streets but somewhere around 9th and 10th Aves.

Many, many restaurants here.....very good and inexpensive ones.

Restaurant Row is West 46th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Why it is called that I don't know. I think there are more and better restaurants elsewhere in New York.

Hell's Kitchen is the area west of Eighth Avenue between 30th Street and 59th Street.

Seagoing is absolutely correct about where Restaurant Row actually is. It's a residential street, but has many places geared toward higher-end eating. Firebird is here, and there are Italian, Seafood, and Asian restaurants to choose from. I also think there are better restaurants elsewhere, but it is interesting to walk down the block and peruse the menus and peek inside. 9th Avenue has several great places.

Yesss... Restaurant Row is on W. 46th-
While there are plenty of restaurants elsewhere in other parts of the city, this area draws decent crowds due to its location in the 'Theater District' and the proximity of the Browadway theaters... lots of tourists and 'show folk' hang on restaurant row... if you go later in the evening, you can ususally socialize with people from the shows.

There are some fun and funky restaurants all througout Hell's Kitchen - Hell's Kitchen = West Side Story!
