| Melaka | Melaka to KL? Posted: Sun September 7, 2008 11:52 PM UTC
Thanks to kentut besar and cochinjew, I was able to book Grassland Express tickets online(leaving Golden Mile Shopping Centre, Beach Road) from Singapore to Melaka.
I will also be traveling from Melaka to KL, and then KL to Penang. Grassland Express does not go from Melaka to KL. What bus companies might make these two trips? Where can I buy the tickets? My trip is in December. thanks! |

In October, I am playing a "tour guide" to a group of Malaysians, taking them around Historic Malacca..so i will keep in mind your question about Malacca to KL. There are frequent buses on that route and it is a short hop, notwithstanding the congestion when you arrive in KL. delima goes on the hour and it is only about 10 ringgits one way to Pudu Raya. you can book them on line i think but it is not absolutely necessary unless you are travelling over weekend or holiday period. I do not like transnational bus company because of some bad experiences with them. malacca sentral station is mdoern and convenient, there is a regular bus to the centre of town as well.

Hi!
Transnasional Express is a reputable transport company that serve most part of Peninsular Malaysia (including Singapore & Southern Thailand). Check details on its website: http://www.nadi.com.my/transportation_routes_express.asp Apart from Transnasional, you may also consider Delima Express and Metrobus Express for the journey from Melaka to KL. You can buy the tickets from Melaka Sentral bus terminal, there are buses going to KL almost every hour during day time. Hwever, book the ticket early during weekend/school holidays/public holiday. -m-

Vanakam, your 2 best options are (1) Transnational & (2) Delima.
I believe they leave almost every hour from the "new" coach station in Malacca (new as in NOT the prehistoric decrepit cesspool by the river that they had as far back as 2002). Unless you are there over a holiday period, no need for advance booking, 1 hour before also will do. I remember in 2004 they already had a spanking new coach station outside the main Malacca town area, & thats a lot more efficient & passenger-friendly. I think Konsortium also might be able to do this, but its better to check personally. Hope this helps, cheers.
