Hello everyone,

We are going to Madeira in Novemeber, and trying to decide which hotel to choose.
Main criteria should be as follows:
Not far from Funchal city centre - max 25min walk
Sea view + balcony
Kitchenette would be a great advantage
Swimming pool
Hotel has entrance to the sea
Parking

Budget - max 550-600 Eur.

At the moment have chosen 3 hotels: Madeira Regency Club, Savoy Gardens, Quinta da Penha de Franca, Baia Azul.
Also was looking at Monumental Lido, Regency Cliff and Enotel Quinta do Sol.

Any suggestions?

The only thing is the distance ... around 3km to Funchal.

Regency Club is the only one you mention with sea access. For seaview you will find you may have to pay a supplement, not many hotels in Madeira allocate sea view free. Two suggestions I would make are Cliff Bay or Porto Santa Maria, both part of the Porto Bay group and very nice. Porto Santa Maria is in the Old town right next door to the ocean, Cliff Bay is about 25 minutes walk from the City Centre. Savoy Gardens is about 15 minutes walk from the sea, Baia Azul is about 45 minutes walking from City Monumental is the only one where you may get a kitchenette as they have studios, Quinta do Sol is not on the seafront either and your nearest access would be the Lido area where Monumental Lido is, about 20 minutes walk away. The sea will be quite chilly in November and there will be no lifeguards. Parking charges vary from park to park.
