Kuala Lumpur buying alcohol duty free at KL airport
Posted: Sun September 7, 2008 09:26 AM UTC
I have been told that people who bought duty liquids in singapore had to surrender them before boarding the plane even though they had been bought in the airport but before the boarding lounge. We are flying into KL before on to Melbourne and want to pick up something to take to family. Does anyone know if there will be a problem in KL?

so long as the liquids are packed in transparent sealed covers from duty free shops there should not be a problem.the problem arises when you buy from the shops outside and carry them as cabin baggage.i once had to discard the perfumes that i had bought from outside, but they permitted the ones that i had bought from the duty free shop in the airport.my check in luggage was full and so i had carried the perfumes as hand baggage and had to leave them.
hope this helps,
