Does anyone know the typical weather in Jordan in mid to late December? We will arrive right after Christmas and stay until the first week in January. We plan to visit the major sites around Amman and then journey down to Petra and Aqaba.

but in amman you may get luky and have few suny days but at most gana be cold
in petra will be cold too at night but in aqaba it will be one or the grt time to visait aqaba but you cant swim unliss if you get indoor swiming pool

with the weather being the way it is these last couple of years who can predict, but I would think for most of the time it has been fair weather in December here in Jordan, it really starts getting cold around mid January and up until April, nothing comparable to the cold you see in some parts of the sates i.e. North Dakota or Minnesota and some European countries.

You could even get snow in Amman and Petra but Aqaba will be fine.
