batu caves is along the way to genting, and kids definitely will enjoy the trip to both. keep a close watch as the crowd at little india can be overwhelming, especially during the current ramadan ie fasting month. enjoy your kl trip!

Thank you. My daughter will definitely enjoy batu caves especially the monkeys but some says that these monkeys can be very aggresive , will it still be safe for her?
Second, Is it advisable to hire a taxi to bring us to batu caves wait for us and then bring us to the cable car area ( to genting highlands). And do you know how much will be the fair taxi rate for that trip. Again thank you so much.

the monkeys mostly hangout at the steps up batu caves, and usually go after food, so do not let your daughter carry any food. your daughter would most probably not climb up the 276 plus steps, just stay at the concourse and play with the pigeons. see my kl travelogues and tips from our recent trip to batu caves and genting.
there are plenty of taxis to batu caves, and onwards to genting. not sure the sector fares and hourly rate, as we engaged a taxi driver cum guide for the day and he drove a van which we hired for rm$200pd, plus petrol and tolls expenses, and paid him $100 for his time. you need to negotiate beforehand, and useful to check with the hotel concierge.
