Sydney Good hairdressers in Sydney

I know it's a trivial question, but when you're a traveller it's hard to know who to trust - and where you can find a cheap cut that won't mangle your hair!

Any suggestions in the CBD or surrounding suburbs?

I was very happy with Pro Cuts in the downstairs area of the Myer Centre/Queen Victoria Building. I had my hair cut there two weeks ago when I was visiting Sydney and I was extremely happy with the result. Cost of a cut only is less that $AUD30 and you don't really need an appointment. They may ask you to come back in an hour or so, this being the case, there is plenty to keep you occupied in that part of the city.

Cool, thanks Maryimelda. I found this site while I was surfing online called truelocal.com.au, which has proved helpful - you can basically find reviews for just about every business imaginable, including hairdressers! I think I'm going to post how my Pro-Cut haircut turns out - every review gives money to charity, so it's worthwhile!

Go to it Izzy. I wish I knew the name of the girl who cut my hair but all I can tell you is that she had long black hair with a grey flash or splash in the front. I don't know what you'd call it but it was very distinctive. Oh and she also has VERY LONG fingernails, I can remember that because we discussed how she could keep her nails in such good condition when she was doing hair all day. Try to get her if you can.
