| Athens | Transportation to Piraeus from Athens Posted: Sun August 31, 2008 11:07 PM UTC
My wife and I need transportation to join a cruise. We don't want to take public transportation for a variety of reasons. Would a taxi be the best way? How long would the trip take and about how much would it cost?

you have a metroline running from the center of athens to piraeus.
it's very easy and straight forward to take.

Private car for example. We used this method in Lima and BA on a trip this spring and will use it later in our fall trip in Cairo and Dubai.

Well I guess you could consider a taxi public transportation as it is available to all at any time. But then it could also be considered a "private car" even though it is a taxi because you will be the only ones in it. The only big difference is that you will pay more for a real private car.
