Hello VT.
I will be in Casablanca, in transit from Bamako to Barcelona, from 8am till 17,00. Can somebody help me explaining if I haev the possibility of visit the city?

1. More important thinks to do in the city in order to obtain a little idea of the town.

2. What is the best choice for travel from Airport to the city and costs of each one.

3. Good place for eat.

Hi yes you definitely have time to get into the city and see the sights - which the main sight/must see is the impressive Hassan mosque - an amazing building by tour only, unless its aFriday tours start in the morning and are either hourly or 2nd hourly. If its a Friday then from memory the first tour for the day is at 2pm.

nice to have coffee on or at one of the cafes above the beach - long white beach - just some of the buildings are a bit ugly.

Downtown Casablanca has some interesting mix of art deco and provincial architecture - eg the post office.
and theres some interesting shopping particularly around the Habous quarter.

Catch taxis around but ask them to put their meter on or negotiate a price beforehand if they dont have a meter or say its not working.

There are a number of eateries around - we had no problem finding a place - particularly go for a place if it looks busy and popular with the locals.

Just one more question: Do you know how to travel from the Airport to the city center and time needed and cost? (By train-bus-taxi).
