I am just wondering the probability of aquiring bottled water in Suzdal that contains no gas meaning not carbonated? I am due to be there for an armwrestling meet in November. Thanks

Suzdal is my favourite place to visit.
Usually there is no problem with pure bottled water.
You can buy it in any grocery store. You should by only well known Russians water brands like - "Saint Springs" or "Shishkin Forest". Small local suppliers could have low quality.

Frankly speaking pure water is not the most popular drink in Suzdal' (LOL!), as it is a tourist place used for weekend trips. Suzdal is very small town. So, big number of athletes arrived at once could make shortage of this kind of goods. In this case big city of Vladimir with many supermarkets is just 15..20 min by car from Suzdal :-)

Have a good time in Suzdal'

Cheers,
P.

Hi Neil,

We both were incorrect in translating Russian brands into english.

First is "Saint Spring" (I was closer ;))) see russian and english labels here:

http://www.springs.ru/eng/

Second was "Cone Forest" see russian and english labels here:

http://www.cone-forest.ru/production.htm

;-)))
Cheers,

Pavel

Thanks for the information . This is just what I needed . I look forward to checking out the sights and everything Suzdal has to offer maybe a little before the competition and certainly afterwards before returning to Moscow. I had been to Moscow before and Vladikavkaz but all the water in Vladikavkaz was gas only so we had to drink Vodka some of the time :)
Of course it was after the competition. The Slovakians had a couple young people that had a little extra recovery time needed but the rest of us made it flawlessly. I live in Florida but I fit in because I am decendant from somewhere around St. Petersburg Russia. This year it will be a great championship and as usual everyone will be trying to match up with the Russian contingent and the mighty Ukranians :) not to mention quite a few other countries but they have evolved quite well. Thanks again I will be looking for those brands in particular that you both mentioned and as soon as I arrive I will make the market run ;^)
